Turn lever to left and yank second door ruthlessly hard - check.
Door opens. Room full of refuse. Stinks. Remember there is refuse strike. Light goes out. Light comes, goes out. Calculate it will take ten minutes heaving to remove enough refuse sacks to read meter, at least another 10 to replace them.
