...there was a very handsome prince, locked in the tower of this castle. No one was quite sure how he got there or how he got food to eat. He spent most of the time gazing out of the little window in the castle tower down at the valley below.
"He's mourning a long-lossed love," the local gossips said, but really they hadn't a clue.
Then, one night, when the moon was full...

Pro "Not again," cried his mother in despair. "All he has to do is ask for the key and we'll let him go down the stairs."

but the Prince had a thirst for adventure.. so he began his descent one sheet at a time until............

he reached the ground. He looked around. It was cold and the wind was blowing but he knew what he had to do...

th blood letting would begin soon but first... the Prince needed Pie!

The Pie he dreamt of in his tower for such a long time! but to find a pie in the middle of the night?!
Then, suddenly, he saw a figure coming out of the dark...

was it? Could it really be? to his astonishment he realised that the lone figure that approached him from the darkness was....

his long-lost love! She obviously got older and put on weight a bit, but there could be no doubts - there she stood smiling at him....

he smiled back... tentatively. much time had passed since they last set eyes upon each other. could the chemistry have survived all these bitter years? she reached towards him and took a step forward into the light. Thats when he noticed the pie.

If he had any doubts before, the smell of the pie made them all go away and he knew that all he wanted, was to spend the rest of his life eating her pies!
But over the years the Princess has grown up, started a career and wasn't sure if she wanted to spend her life in the kitchen. In a quiet voice she said

"Darling. Much has changed in these difficult years. I can no longer be your lady of pies. I have become an assasin for the portuguese government. forgive me darling for I shall always have a place for you in this blackened soul.. but my heart now belongs to the cold steel of a gun...
go my love..... leave this hell that I bring.
but do noy forget you pie...."
with this, the Princes' head dropped.. he looked down at the pie he once worshipped and said....

... my dear! all those years I have remembered you and your pies and I knew I couldn't be happy if I was never to try it again! Please, let us sit down and enjoy it- for the last time!
and so they sat on the moon-lit grass and had their last pie together. Then the Princess left.
"Will I ever meet another girl like her?", the Prince thought "or should I enroll cookery classes? I might meet a better princess there...."
