there stood, alone in a field, a magnificently tall oak tree that no one had ever climbed.
"The view from the top must be fantastic" was the local opinion.
"It is forbidden" said the priest.

Well, that's finished it rather quickly, soy. Great little gem in its own way, but I was rather hoping for a phrase from someone, then another from someone else, running for days and eventually being published between hard covers.
Still, there you go. I guess I'll have to start again.
LOL!
Oops. Start again.

somebody told the villagers that the priest is Gay,and nobody listened to him ever again.
What a homophobic village!
Then one day the homophobic villagers gatherd and one by one climbed the tree. All of them had a great time. The view was beautiful from the top.
They talke about it the next day and the day after and then everybody got bored. The tree was famous in all the surrounding villages and was called the "forbidden tree".Within a week, the news spread that the tree has been climbed and nothing went wrong, and soon people forgot all about it.Along with the tree, the village was forgotten, and the "forbidden tree tourists" stopped coming, and alec had to close his souvenir shop. Then the villagers found out why the priest did not want them to climb the tree. The village's novelty was gone.
Lesson learnt????????
...a new family moved into the village. Nobody knew where they came from, nor if they were to stay. As it soon turned out, they owned a little piece of land, exactly where the old oak tree was...

(This would have been good... unfortunately I feel asleep before reading it. A new one tomorrow, maybe)
oh, I didn't know it was a one-day-project only ![]()
At you request, I will continue it this evening,dv
Yes, a new story is now in place for you to continue
The tree disappeared. How's the dog?
The dog left, with its mistress, in a car, at about nine o'clock. My sister felt too restless to stay the night, perhaps. I felt a little relieved myself, I have to say... although it was good to see her.
I scampered up the tree as I couldn't stand it any more and the view was glorious.
Not quite worth the fifty lashings I got for it but there you go.
You never listen to the priest,do you?
Not tonight. I went to sleep at nine o'clock, and have just woken. Hope I can sleep some more, not perhaps about oak trees.
Oh, yes. I listen to the priest so I can argue with him.
I never listen to anyone wearing a black outfit and scuffed shoes!

Wow, It's very n ice post. Frankly telling you that I had never visited this kind of blog post. It is really nice and a different kind of post. I like it very much...
Then, once upon a time, you used a smarmily flattering Comment to provide a link to something you wanted to advertise. Unfortunately for you, the link doesn't work.

the priest was goaded into climbing the tree, whereupon fell out of it, and the locals feared God had punished them all for forcing the priest into climbing the forbidden tree, so they turned the tree into a shrine to the priest, and then the tree got hit by lightning, making them think the priest was actually a servent of the devil. Many years past, and the legend fell out of common knowledge in the area.
