right on cue, or rather on the last day of the month it was promised, the copy editor has returned my novel script with a few commas etc and typos changed, a list of 9 suggested one-sentence improvements (I plan to do these over the weekend) and general praise that it really feels like a book now.
At first, this remark sounds a bit odd. She has read the last 3 or 4 versions and said she liked them all, each time suggesting changes - and I've gone along with most of what she said. But, now, to me too, Low Life Games feels finished at last.
Now all I have left to do is arrange the publication... I can hardly believe, and may well make heavy weather of the 9 improved sentences in a last, last ditch campaign to avoid moving forward
